The Inauguration of William J. Behre

The inauguration of William J. Behre was November 9, 2018 starting at 11 a.m. He is the 17 president of Slippery Rock University.

Students and fans came in support of this event to welcome him officially. Students from every organization, the mayor of Slippery Rock and executives from the Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education came in support.

This joyful event was filled with musical entertainment from the Slippery Rock World Percussion, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Singers.

Many Speeches by public officials from both Slippery Rock and Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education were delivered on behalf of President Behre. Many were greetings and stories about his success in the past and his hopeful successes for the future. It was great to see all sides of the university come together and give a warm welcome for our new president.

This date was elected as William Behre Day officially by Slippery Rock President, Jondavid Longo. Even the past presidents Cheryl Norton and Warren Smith were in attendance to show their support for the new president. Overall, everybody has high hopes and expectations for President Behre, but we all know he's up and ready for the challenge.
